**Business Development and Events Coordinator**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and deliver the RACQ Mobility Centre event schedule, including community events, corporate events, internal staff events, seminars, and sponsorship activations.
- Manage hirers enquiries, including general correspondence in a timely manner.
- Develop strong and ongoing relationships with existing and new prospective customers and stakeholders.
- Maximise revenue opportunities by managing and developing customer stakeholders relationships.
- Develop and manage relationships with external hirers to ensure their event runs smoothly, expectations are met, and a high level of service is provided.
- Oversee and contribute to the delivery of Events and campaigns across the business by providing direction and advice to stakeholders, preparation of documentation, coordination of staff volunteers etc.
- Provide insights and recommendations on Events strategy that will assist in achieving strategic outcomes for the business.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to effectively qualify, develop and close hirer opportunities.
- Provide regular and accurate progress reporting on all events and facilitate post-event evaluation processes.

**About you**:

- Relevant qualifications in Event Management, Management, Customer service, Communication, Marketing or related field highly desirable
- Demonstrated sales or new business development experience - uncovering opportunities, managing sales pipeline, negotiating, and closing business - Must have experience working towards and meeting targets.
- Demonstrated record of increasing revenue through current customers and generation of new business
- Strong and proven planning and organisational ability, particularly in the coordination and delivery of corporate and large-scale events.
- Strong attention to detail with a flair for high quality, creative presentation.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, follow through on tasks and meet deadlines to effect smoothly coordinated and delivered events.
- High level of interpersonal communication skills.
- Work effectively autonomously and within a member of an enthusiastic team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, CMS and DAX.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours, as required - This position is based onsite at the RACQ Mobility Centre
