As we continue to expand our OHS consultancy services, we are currently seeking a dedicated professional to assume the role of OHS Adviser and join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
**Role**:
As an OHS Adviser at Orbiline, you will deliver expert consultancy services to our external telecommunications clients, providing specialized advice on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) matters. This advice will be tailored to meet both industry standards and company-specific requirements, ensuring client compliance with relevant regulations. Your focus will be on offering top-tier consultancy services to our international clientele. A deep understanding of regulatory aspects in these countries, as well as in Australia, is essential. Additionally, you will uphold and maintain OHS tasks and standards for Orbiline's own operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct initial evaluations and surveys of customer telecommunications companies to identify areas for improvement in OHS compliance.
- Develop, implement, review, and communicate OHS policies, programs, and detailed consultancy reports tailored to the client’s organization, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and organizational policies.
- Offer consultancy and advice to ensure client companies adhere to local and international OHS regulations and standards.
- Guide customer companies through comprehensive risk assessments, pinpointing potential hazards and suggesting control measures to mitigate workforce risks.
- Monitor, evaluate, and provide guidance on the workplace environment, investigations of workplace incidents, root cause analyses, and in recommending preventive measures.
- Advise and consult on the activities of the OH&S committee, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, meeting scheduling, report development, and assisting the Chair as needed.
- Consult and advise customer companies on coordinating contractor OH&S requirements and on the development of strategies to foster a proactive OHS culture, emphasizing safety and employee well-being.
- Review, analyze, and guide the establishment of strategies and procedures for incident registry reporting and the coordination of the OH&S audit schedule, ensuring compliance, maintaining audit documentation, and reporting outcomes to the OH&S Committee.
- Design and lead training programs on health and safety topics, including hazard management and risk analysis, tailored to the specifics of customer organizations.
- Engage in mandatory Health and Safety training, staying updated on legislation, codes of practice, industry standards, and training requirements.
- Offer consultation and support to Managers and employees, aiding in the maintenance of safe work practices, clarifying regulations and legislation, and collaborating on continuous improvement processes such as auditing, surveys, and needs analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date records in line with quality standards, ensuring the confidentiality of all records, whether in hard copy or electronic format.
- Work in tandem with service providers and within the broader service system to ensure that Orbiline Pty Ltd delivers integrated services.
**Requirements**:
**Desirable**
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
**Skills/Attributions**
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Work \ Occupational Health and Safety Act, Work \ Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and relevant governing bodies.
- Experience with hazard assessments and risk management.
- Ability to prepare and present training sessions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing across multiple levels.
- Initiative to prepare plans and assist in the implementation of policies to achieve organizational objectives.
- High competency in the Microsoft suite.
- Experience in managing and directing internal communications.
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining complex documentation.
**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
