**The Role**
Reporting into the National Editor, World News within our News and Current Affairs team, as our Queensland Correspondent, you will report and compile TV, digital and radio stories for news output.
In this role you will:
- Provide comprehensive coverage of Queensland for SBS World News across multiple platforms.
- Plan and execute trips to gather stories in the field.
- Conduct interviews, and film sequences, for news and current affairs programs and NITV.
- Report live from the field and contribute to pooling arrangements with other networks and partners as required
- Develop contacts within multicultural and First Nations communities to fulfill SBS's charter.
- Adapt between various news formats, including traditional television stories and live broadcasts.
- Contribute to forward planning and maintain necessary state bureau functions.
**About You**
Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum five years' experience in cross-platform journalism.
- Developed skills in video journalism, reporting, and production.
- Up-to-date training in first aid, defensive driving, and handling hostile environments.
- Detailed understanding of Queensland's multicultural and Indigenous communities.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed.
