The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking to fill two **Systems Integration Officers** positions in the End User Computing (EUC) section within our Security and Infrastructure Branch.
These are ongoing, permanent positions. At least one of these positions will be located in Canberra (Belconnen), with the other position located in either of our offices in Sydney, Docklands (Melbourne), Geelong, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth or Hobart. Flexible working arrangements (including a hybrid model of working from home and the office) are available.
**About the role**
Responsibilities of the Systems Integration Officer role may include:
- deploy and maintain ABS computer infrastructure and services (on-premise and cloud-based)
- diagnose and resolve technical problems
- configure/integrate/manage and develop video conferencing and media streaming appliances and services
- provide technical support of IT infrastructure
- consult with business and technical stakeholders to perform requirements
- gathering and implement solutions to satisfy those requirements
- resolve client queries (level 2/3 type support).
The Unified Collaboration workgroup is responsible for:
- video/voice/chat collaboration services
- video conferencing facilities and management infrastructure
- management of cloud-based call centre services (CCaaS)
- digital media infrastructure for live streaming and on-demand services of events and meetings
- infrastructure projects such as:
- technology migrations (such as Skype to Teams, adoption of Microsoft Teams recording and events streaming)
- designing and implementing audio visual infrastructure
- planning and implementing desktop and cloud-based collaboration services
- Microsoft 365 services
- managing and administering virtual environments (including virtualised desktops).
**What we are looking for (selection criteria)**
To be suitable you should have the following skills, qualities, and experience:
- demonstrated experience in administering and deploying Microsoft 365 services with an emphasis on collaboration services and Microsoft Teams
- demonstrated experience in managing and delivering small to medium ICT projects, in a networked environment
- proven interpersonal skills with experience in providing ICT client service support
- capacity to utilise initiative, demonstrating a methodical approach to solving ICT problems of high technical complexity.
Additionally, experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- tertiary qualification or relevant work experience in a relevant ICT field against the selection criteria
- experience with collaboration products and services such as Microsoft Teams and M365, Poly video conferencing.
