The Health, Safety & Environment Team is a small, specialist team that resides in the Organisational Resilience Program. The core function of the team is to advise and support the Business Groups within the Bureau to effectively manage their health, safety and environmental sustainability risks and ensure compliance with legislation.
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Workplace Health and Safety Practitioner who is team focussed and driven to achieve results. The successful applicant will draw upon a deep understanding of health and safety risk management to provide expert WHS advice and support to both management and staff across a broad range of risks.
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead will represent the Bureau in a variety of internal and inter-agency meetings and therefore require excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of working with a diverse range of stakeholders to positively influence and build a shared sense of purpose and direction. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead must demonstrate the ability to develop and implement WHS policies and procedures, provide authoritative health and safety advice and have strong planning and organisation skills to deliver the roll out of uplift initiatives.
