The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Health & Safety Advisor
to join a progressive mining operation with an outstanding safety record. Reporting to the Senior Advisor - Health, Safety and Emergency Response, this is a boots-on-the-ground role where you'll work closely with operational teams, provide expert safety guidance, and ensure that systems and procedures are not only implemented but lived across site.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Conducting and supporting
    ICAM investigations
    into incidents.
  • Delivering and overseeing
    drug and alcohol testing
    .
  • Collaborating with the onsite RTW Coordinator on rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting on safety performance data (including end-of-month reporting).
  • Facilitating risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and critical control verifications.
  • Engaging with teams in the field to promote proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience
    in underground mining or heavy industry.
  • Diploma in Work Health & Safety (tertiary qualifications preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in ICAM investigations and workplace auditing.
  • Strong working knowledge of NSW Mining Acts, Regulations, and WHS legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Hands-on, practical approach with strong data analysis and reporting capability.
  • Return to Work certification (advantageous).
