Four Week Temp Role in a bustling Local Council North of Perth

**Your new company**

Our client is a Local Council North of Perth CBD that covers around 100 square kilometres and 6 kilometre stretch of coastline and they are looking for a Level 6/7 Strategic Planning Officer for a 4 week Temporary contract starting immediately and wrapping up on 16 June.

**Your new role**

As the Strategic Planning Officer for the City, you will report to the Coordinator City Planning Projects. You will be responsible for required research and to assist with the development of policies, plans and strategies. Along with being aligned with the core values of the city including integrity, respect, community participation and accountability, your responsibilities will include:

- Assist with structural planning, urban development and strategic development projects for the City.
- Assist in further developing the sustainability of the City by researching, investigating, developing and inputting strategic planning responses.
- Assist with selecting consultants, with supervision and with project management.
- Stakeholder consultation, maintenance of records, responding to written and verbal customer enquiries.
- Other duties related to the scope and level of the position.

**What you'll need to succeed**

As a successful applicant you will need the following qualifications and experience:

- A tertiary level qualification in Town Planning, or related discipline or the ability to work towards a relevant discipline.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral skills as well as demonstrated contract management skills.
- Good research analytical and problem solving skills.
- C Class Drivers Licence
- A positive and engaging attitude.
- A working knowledge of Project Management, as well as good negotiation and works supervision skills.
