Expert Strategic Planning Advisor

Delivering strategic planning solutions is at the heart of our consultancy. As a Senior Planning Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding initiatives from inception to completion. Drawing on your expertise in planning frameworks and strong industry connections, you will provide expert advice and navigate complex negotiations with local authorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide authoritative guidance on planning policy and regulatory approvals
  • Conduct thorough due diligence to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Analyse, develop and implement strategies in relation to market trends and future requirements to identify opportunities to efficiently achieve project outcomes
  • Contribute as an appointed member within project teams, including directing consultants and sub-consultants, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations
  • Maintain knowledge or identification of significant external affairs project risks to ensure risks are mitigated and solutions are provided
  • Project management proficiency, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard meeting client requirements
  • Investigate and pursue potential partnership and client opportunities, aligning and supporting the overall corporate strategy

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally with 4-5 years experience
  • Experience in managing strategic and/or statutory planning projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex tasks and projects including budgets and deliverables
  • Consultancy and/or client management experience, including the ability to negotiate outcomes with key stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Considerable experience working with a variety of public and private stakeholders
  • High level written skills including experience with preparing project briefs and programs
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, and the ability to solve problems
  • Highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills, ability to build quality relationships with clients both new and existing
