**Childcare Centre Manager (Charlotte Brisbane)**
Finnish Early Childhood Education (Australia) Pty Ltd is an early childhood education group introduced the HEI School program in 2019 based on Finnish early education principles that emphasises play based learning and holistic child development, both physically and mentally. Our childcare centre in Charlotte, Brisbane (Finnish Early Childhood Education (Charlotte) Pty Ltd trading as HEI Schools Charlotte Early Education Centre) is now looking for a childcare centre manager (Level 6.4 - 6.6 of _Children’s Services Award 2010_) to support the daily operations and HEI program implementation in the centre.
This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) based in Brisbane with the following requirements. The salary is $73,885 - $75,000 plus superannuation commensurate with experience.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the operation of the centre complies with the National Quality Framework across all related areas.
- Responsible for planning, establishing and executing various programs and activities to cater for the development of the children enrolled in the childcare centre in accordance to their ages.
- These programs and activities should be designed to develop the physical strength, social capability, mental health, cognitive and intellectual development of the children.
- Establish proper arrangement and care to children engaged for before school, after school and day care services.
- Provide guidance, instructions, monitoring and feedback to other staff including but not limited to educators, room leaders and teachers to make sure activities organised for children are properly implemented.
- Support and equip educators to provide holistic child development through training and mentoring.
- Make sure the operation of the centre is safe to all people working and visiting the centre including but not limited to children, parents, staffs, visitors, etc.
- Establish proper record management system to ensure all records are properly made regarding the operation of the childcare centre, including ensuring correct process and documentation is collected and recorded in the system prior to any child engaging in the centre.
- Act on behalf of the childcare centre to liaise with external parties such as government authorities, contractors, parents, community representatives, etc., to make sure the communication with these parties are properly conducted.
- Keep track of latest regulations regarding the operation of childcare centres, engagement of staffs, safety requirements, etc., to make sure the operation of the childcare centre is in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Liaise with external authorities and organisations as required and to improve the learning outcomes of children.
- Provide on-going support to ensure that the HEI Schools Concept and curriculum are properly implemented in the centre.
- Liaise with international HEI School communities to maintain strong connections and facilitate exchange of experience.
- Ensure certain programs and activities are designed and implemented in a manner that is friendly and conducive to the learning of children with special needs.
- Liaise with family members from different cultural backgrounds.
- Train and consult with educators and other staff members about counselling and communication techniques.
- Provide staff training and mentoring on holistic children development, with particular focus on mental health and special needs support, and related communication techniques with parents, including coordinating continuing professional development.

**Position criteria**
- At least 3 years working in the role of centre director/manager and preferably a total of 8 years of overall experience working in childcare centre in the role of educator, room leader and/or early childhood teacher.
