**Job Description**:
The Finance Team is thriving at Australia’s leading media company. Our priorities are ensuring effective governance and financial control, and delivering insightful partnering support to the business on operational and strategic initiatives to drive our business forward.

The Performance Planning and Insights (PP&I) team is responsible for driving Nine’s profitability and efficiency by overseeing Nine’s budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis processes; overseeing the provision of decision support capability; and contributing to the development of medium and long-term financial plans.

As the Group Planning and Insights Analyst, you will drive commercial decision making through the analysis of financial and non-financial data and the communication of insight and recommendations to the business.

You will be instrumental in establishing an investment framework for Nine, conduct financial analysis and present insights to the business. You will build excellent relationships with your stakeholders and perform an important role in creating strategic business proposals. You will have strong ability in building consensus amongst stakeholder groups and influence decision making.

You will play a pivotal role in the success and execution of Nine’s Finance Modernisation project. You will have the opportunity to improve and influence processes and business support for the future.

**Day to day you will**:

- Manage and evolve commercial planning for Nine and perform a central role in establishing an investment framework to ensure appropriate use of resources
- Collate and extract relevant data from financial and non-financial sources to drive insights and reporting to support and influence strategic planning and prioritisation
- Build strong business partnerships with leaders and all business units to enable greater financial clarity, better decision making and develop medium to long-term strategies and financial plans
- Present insight to explain opportunities and risks to the business and senior stakeholders
- Develop, implement and evolve a new suite of management reporting across financial and non-financial metrics

**Qualifications**:
**What we would like to see on your resume**:

- Strong experience in a strategy, commercial or financial analyst role (ideally minimum 5 years) within a large complex organisation
- Strong financial modelling, quantitative and analytical skills
- Experience in building dashboards in Tableau or other data visualisation tools
- Excellent ability to build strong relationships at all organisational levels
- Superb written and oral communication with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Experience within an ASX listed and/or media company highly regarded
- Post-graduate finance qualification higher regarded
