**Pricing Analyst ( SQL / Excel )**

**Sydney / Remote**

**$100-110k base plus super**

**Pricing Analyst ( SQL / Excel ) **is required to support the Prepaid Product & Pricing team of a well-known, Australian business. This remit is responsible for the commercial performance of various subsidiaries within the company.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, the
**Pricing Analyst ( SQL / Excel ) **will translate data into actionable insights, helping to identify trends in complex data sets that underpin decision making and support the identification of commercial opportunities and risks.

You will help to drive the weekly performance and trading rhythms of the prepaid portfolio, whilst acting as the point of contact for Product Managers to gather insights for key presentations, business cases and analysis.

Day to day responsibilities for the
**Pricing Analyst ( SQL / Excel ) **include:

- Analyse large & complex data sets, to help identify patterns & trends that present opportunities for commercial favourable/customer-driven outcomes and optimal business approaches
- Through these insights, develop concrete, data-driven recommendations that support and underpin commercial decision-making - including the representation of data trends and insights in graphical formats (Tableau/PowerBI/other) to support presentations for C suite executives/board
- Support in the development of business cases, financial modelling, and commercial analysis in relation to key projects and growth initiatives. Regularly update stakeholders on findings and insights to provide business strategy.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality and create robust analytical processes
- Build tools, templates, and automated data workflows to optimise ways of working
- Leverage quantitative techniques to answer complex ad-hoc business problems
- Possess excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, including written & verbal communication
- Assist in the discovery and exploration of new sources of data to improve understanding of product, channel and customer
- Support the team with budgeting and forecasting as required
- Tertiary qualified analytics, computer science, business/economics or related discipline

Required skills and experience for the
**Pricing Analyst ( SQL / Excel ) **include:

- 5+ years’ experience in data and analytics related role
- Programming in SQL
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Comfortable using Microsoft Powerpoint to craft presentations based on a defined narrative / storyline and key messages
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate commercial requirements into objective, logical data & insights requirements, analytical solutions, and translating solutions back to actionable business insights
