- **Permanent Role/Flexible Location - Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane**
**About the role**:
The Reporting and Insights Analyst will be responsible for the management and delivery of the reporting calendar and driving meaningful insights that drives business awareness, changes, and improvements across Insurance.
**Key activities include but not limited to**:
- Co-ordinate, facilitate and deliver Risk, Governance and Quality Assurance (QA) reporting for the various reporting cycles including scheduling and engagement of required stakeholders.
- Ensure deliverables (including reports) adhere to Group Risk Management Frameworks, Policies and Standards as applicable.
- Oversight of Risk, Governance and QA reporting to ensure high quality and accurate reporting.
- Identify, design, develop, implement and maintain insights methodologies and/or tools to ensure a consistent approach across Insurance Risk.
- Data analysis to identify data points and data sources required to deliver reporting and insights that support the overall management of risk and compliance within tolerance.
- Deliver meaningful insights with recommendations (where applicable) that target areas to help drive business improvement, decision making and risk maturity uplift.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate insights and implement appropriate solutions.
- Consult and influence stakeholders to ensure insights turn into actions.
- Convey / communicate analysis outcomes and recommendations via reporting.
- Support with the co-ordination and delivery of reporting changes and initiatives from Group and/or Reporting & Insights Leads including change management activities.
- Pro-actively share learnings and insights broadly across the Insurance Risk team to foster a learning culture and uplift capability.
- Mentor and support Reporting & Insights Consultants to ensure collaboration to drive quality reporting.
- Support BAU Risk, Governance and QA reporting as required.
- Help 1st Line Risk’s ambition statement of #knowriskknowreward come to life. **More specifically, you will**:
- Deliver upon Insurance Risk’s Reporting Strategy with key pillars being data, automation, self-service, and insights.
- Ensure insights and reporting activities undertaken align with Insurance Risk’s Reporting Service Offering.
- Creation and delivery of reporting schedule for all Risk, Governance and QA reports generated for Insurance.
- Create Insights methodology to be embedded and applied across Insurance Risk.
- Deliver high profile, accurate and compelling analysis / insights to understand the drivers of non-compliance or poor risk practices.
- Make connections and comparisons between related data sets to provide holistic insights regarding business performance, risks and obligations practices.
- Assessing and quantifying execution of solution design implementation and on-going impact assessment at all levels.
- Deliver regular insights for Insurance on Risk, Compliance and QA data that drives changes in business and customer outcomes.
- Identify barriers to the delivery of exceptional customer service through analysis and insights.
- Drive capability uplift across Insurance Risk on how to draw insights from data.
- Development of systems and processes for gathering (multiple sources) and storing data.
- Delivery of key change activities for Group Risk Initiatives.
- Establish effective ways of generating insights through automation.
- Make connections and comparisons between related data sets to provide holistic insights regarding business performance and risks and obligations practices.
- Work collaboratively with other data and reporting roles across Insurance, 2LoD and CRO to ensure synergy between teams by avoiding duplication and identifying opportunities for reuse.
- Support and contribute to the successful delivery of Insurance Claims & Operations (ICO) and Insurance Product & Portfolio (IPP) strategic priorities.
- Support (if required) with BAU reporting.
- Establishing a linkage between key deliverables / POW to our #knowriskknowreward strategy.
- Develop, Promote, and participate in initiatives and ways of working.
- Collaborate cross-functionality with our Business Partners (T&T, Banking, Projects etc)
**About you**:
- Relevant degree in Business, Law, or related field (Desired)
- ISO31000: Risk Management training (Desired)
- Territory Studies relating to data, insights, and modelling
- Data science experience and working with Python (Highly Desirable)
- Minimum five (5) years appropriate industry experience in Insurance or Financial Services
