The Finance Team is thriving at Australia’s leading media company. Our priorities are ensuring effective governance and financial control, and delivering insightful partnering support to the business on operational and strategic initiatives to drive our business forward.

The Performance Planning and Insights (PP&I) team is responsible for driving Nine’s profitability and efficiency by overseeing Nine’s budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis processes; overseeing the provision of decision support capability; and contributing to the development of medium and long-term financial plans.

As a Group Data and Insights Analyst you will enable the next generation of Finance reporting, stakeholder dashboards and commercial insights. This role will also be responsible for running deep dive, data led, value generating projects.

You will be the team's data specialist. You will have an understanding of strategic and commercial decision making through complex data analysis (financial and non-financial) and the communication of insight and recommendations to the business. You will build business partnering relationships with multiple stakeholders across the business, be able to build consensus amongst stakeholder groups and influence decision making.

You will play your part in the successful execution of Nine’s Finance Modernisation project and have the opportunity to improve and influence processes and data strategy in the future.

**Day to day you will**:

- Lead and manage the evolution of reporting and dashboards; you will develop, implement and evolve a new suite of management reporting and dashboards across financial and non-financial metrics
- Collaborate with the business, PP&I and wider finance team to understand reporting requirements across Nine and create products to fulfil those needs
- Continuously drive improvements in reporting products and nascent data systems using client feedback to improve the perception of finance across the business
- Alongside PP&I Director and Finance Leadership team, establish and prioritise a list of data led value generating deep dive projects across any area of Nine’s business in partnership with senior stakeholders
- Plan, scope, initiate and own these data led projects to drive commercial insights, efficiencies and other outcomes for Nine in partnership with relevant stakeholders

**Qualifications**:
**What we would like to see on your resume**:

- Previous experience as in data and insight analysis or consulting role within a large complex organisation
- Experience building dashboards using database and data visualisation skills across SQL, BigQuery, Tableau and Power BI
- Experience analysing and manipulating financial data from TM1 and D365
- Advanced modelling skills across Excel and G Sheets with proven ability to extract and share meaningful insights from large data sets
- Able to deal with ambiguity and manage various disparate data sets
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels
- Media industry and post-graduate qualification high desired
