Bi/insights Analyst

Are you a BI Analyst/Data Insights Analyst who is passionate about identifying and communicating data-driven insights? We have an opportunity for a BI/Insights Analyst with SQL experience to join a team at the centre of our Corporate Data Hub.

**What impact will you have?**

In this role, you’ll join a growing team to provide BI and Data Insights to your key stakeholders across the group within a Data Modelling, Data Quality and BI Centre of Excellence. You will partner with Finance, Business and Technology teams across the Information Management life cycle to build data and analytics capabilities. Your key responsibilities will be to:

- **Identify** **solutions** in architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces in data sources/tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization
- **Investigate** the Data Warehouse to deliver improved reporting & analysis toolkits to support organisation-wide strategic decision making
- **Implement** new data strategy/design across all data platforms: relational (e.g. MS SQL Server), dimensional, NoSQL (e.g. Cloudera), and reporting, visualization, and analytics tools
- **Build** data flows and develop an intimate understanding of the flow of data through the organisation.
- **Develop and implement** robust report production processes, and provide guidance for the operational delivery team
- **Develop** conceptual and logical data models
- **Define** and govern standards, tools, best practices, risk management and development for enterprise data models
- **Champion** the use of enterprise data management/governance frameworks for data and analytics via Collibra

**What skills will you use?**

In addition to having a strong interest in working in banking and financial services, you will bring at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience using SQL in a data aligned role. You will also possess:

- An understanding of data modelling and data warehouse concepts, data architecture principles, with exposure to big data architecture and platform solutions tools
- The ability to extract and transform data from multiple sources
- Proficient in using traditional data bases like MS SQL Server or Teradata and data processing
- Strong academic results and / or professional qualifications.
- Stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills
