Wilderness is now seeking a Risk and Compliance Specialist to provide strategic advice and operational support for all risk and compliance matters within the organisation.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Risk and Compliance Specialist is responsible for leading the development and ongoing implementation of the risk management, compliance and WHS frameworks and systems to ensure a culture of continuous improvement, thereby underpinning the legislative compliance requirements of the School. You will work collaboratively to oversee a range of projects and activities. An additional focus on process improvement initiatives, you will update policies and procedures and provide advice, training and support to leaders.

An experienced risk and compliance leader, you will have a proven track record in building and maintaining positive and cohesive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be tertiary qualified, coupled with previous experience in a risk management role as well as in depth knowledge and practical understanding of Regulations and Australian Standards. A team player, with a deep commitment to Wilderness School’s values, you will have a willingness to perform ‘hands on’ operational tasks, whilst being able to think more broadly beyond the day to day.
