**The Team**

APRA is seeking a Risk Specialist to join our GCRA team within our Cross Industry Division, with a particular focus on accountability. The GCRA team provides specialist risk expertise and advice to APRA’s supervisory teams in relation to GCRA practices. We are looking for a person with a passion for transforming GCRA practices in APRA regulated industries.

**The Role**

This role provides a unique opportunity to deliver on APRA’s implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime and contribute to other initiatives that seek to transform the GCRA practices across APRA’s regulated industries - banks, insurers and superannuation entities. You will:

- support the implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime and the uplift of accountability practices across regulated entities;
- collaborate and engage with APRA stakeholder teams, ASIC, regulated entities and industry bodies to successfully implement and embed the regime;
- contribute to the development of guidance and other materials to assist industry with implementing the regime;
- provide training and quality specialist advice to supervisors, and uplift internal capability on accountability to enable effective supervisory oversight;
- assess and provide advice on regulated entities’ accountability practices, including attending meetings with senior leaders of these entities;
- contribute to broader GCRA initiatives and embedding GCRA in ongoing supervision;
- keep abreast of relevant regulatory and technical developments, both locally and internationally in relation to governance, remuneration and accountability; and
- participate in internal and external working groups as the opportunities arise.

You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving ability along with strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability working with key stakeholders, build relationships and take ownership to deliver on commitments.
