We're on the lookout for a dynamic, energetic and positive minded person who will be responsible for providing an exceptional level of service at our wine bar in Hawthorn East.

Together with your extensive wine knowledge, you will be passionate about the hospitality industry and enjoy creating a special guest experience.

In addition to ensuring the venue is well presented for service, you'll be attentive to our guests needs, making them feel welcome and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Present room for a great experience
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service to all guests, ensuring all needs are exceeded
- Utilise extensive knowledge to guide guests on menu selection
- Correctly handle and pour beverages
- Present simple food items for consumption
- Money handling and venue open / close procedures
- Ensure venue and facilities are clean and presentable
- Adhere to OH&S, sanitation and alcohol beverage control policies
- Follow strict grooming and presentation standards

To be successful in this key position, you will have:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
- A professional approach and confidence in dealing with a varied customer base
- Excellent customer engagement skills
- Strong wine knowledge with the ability to make appropriate recommendations
- Availability and flexibility during operating hours - approx. 15-20 hours per week (opportunity for additional hours, if preferred)
- Possess a valid RSA Certificate
- Knowledge of Food Service Regulations
- Fluent English - written and verbal
- Permission to work in Australia - no VISA applicants please
