Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist (Portfolio Business Partner) represents the strategic operations of the Marketing and Communications Department to Chisholm Business Areas. Under the general direction of the Brand and Campaign Team Lead, the Marketing Specialist (Portfolio Business Partner) is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of annual Business Area Marketing Plans and subsequent marketing activities that align with team, Department, and Institute-level strategic priorities.

The incumbent will develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders through effective consultation and collaboration. They will provide sound, best practice, customer-first specialist marketing advice to their portfolio of responsibility and be able to positively influence decision making at varied levels of the business.

**ABOUT YOU**

**Qualifications and skills required for the role**:

- Relevant degree and/or post-graduate qualification in marketing, communications, or similar and relevant experience; or lesser formal qualifications and extensive specialist marketing and management experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills that showcase Chisholm’s values of collaboration, accountability, integrity and respect.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end strategic planning, execution and evaluation of effective marketing plans
- Experience with market research, segmentation, targeting, positioning and delivering integrated marketing communication tactics
- Ability to critically assess customer and stakeholder needs and provide specialist marketing advice and recommendations.
- Ability to design, develop and trial procedures that are strategically aligned and showcase effectiveness and efficiency in marketing practice.
- Experience in lead generation marketing techniques
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong written and visual communications skills, including the ability to prepare a variety of marketing and communication materials and tools that effectively engage with audiences.
- Have a creative, customer-first mindset
- Self-starter that works well under pressure in an environment of change
- Experience in leading, coaching, mentoring and developing marketing professionals
