**Project Officer**

APS5 Project Officer role available in Federal Government. 6 months fixed-term contract, APS 5 level. Australian Citizens only.

This Federal Government organisation is responsible for overseeing significant Australian social and political processes, including management of various major events.

**Your new role**

Assisting with agile delivery of major political events, this Project Officer will join an exciting team at a significant juncture. Further, you will be tasked with:

- Conducting research and analysis to obtain evidence-based conclusions and assist in the management, preparation and coordination of accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.
- Making judgements on complex issues and significant contributions to the preparation and coordination of reports and advisory papers.
- Developing and maintaining key internal and external relationships, and making and communicating decisions using professional judgement.
- Preparation of financial information for inclusion in corporate reports, undertaking reconciliation of invoices and payments, monitoring budgets.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- You will be a strong written and verbal communicator, able to work autonomously and in a team.
- You will have strong knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel, and have experience with both secretariat and reporting functions, ideally in a Federal Government environment.
- Excellent record management skills and project acumen.
