**The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for developing and implementing people strategy and initiatives to support the continuing success and growth of the business and act as a primary strategic partner to our business leaders in Sydney. With dual reporting to the Managing Director, Oceania and the Director Human Resources APAC, the Sydney Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for day-to-day operations, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, reward and recognition, and employee relations. This role will serve as an advocate for employees and will develop and implement initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement and development. The Human Resources Business Partner will also act as a positive cultural change agent, consultant and business advisor to the Manitou Australia & Manitou Center Sydney leadership team. The goal for this position is to ensure that all the HR needs of Manitou Australia & Manitou Center Sydney are met and are aligned with the Group’s business strategies and culture.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Business Partnership**
- **Quickly build a trusted and collaborative relationship with the Manitou Australia & MC Sydney Leadership Team ( Managing Directors, General Managers, Finance Manager/Director, Operations Managers, Sales Managers)**
- **Invest time in understanding the business drivers and dynamics at local levels.**
- **In partnership with the business leaders, plan and execute the HR strategies to drive business results and enhance Manitou Group culture.**
- **As a member of the Manitou Australia & MC Sydney Leadership Team, ensure a full alignment and an effective group dynamic within the leadership team.**
- **Play a critical role to embed the leadership around the Manitou Culture at all staff levels.**

**Talent Acquisition**
- **Deploy the Employer Branding and any efficient local initiatives to attract talents.**
- **Ensure all recruitment practices in Australia are aligned with the Group Diversity charter & local practices.**
- **Coordinate resources planning, manage the acquisition set up and monitor the progress & efficiency of acquisition plan through KPI’s.**

**Learning & Talent Development**
- **Deploy strategies and initiatives to drive talent management & development aligned with the Group People Development Policy and sustain a variety of organizational-wide learning experiences (e.g., formal classroom and virtual learning, experiential tactics, mentoring programs, etc.)**
- **Provides consultation to business leaders around learning & development needs to continuously improve organizational performance.**
- **Drive talent processes such as Organizational Performance Review, coaching, mentoring, training plans, and performance management.**
- **Provide coaching and regular feedback to managers and employees around performance,**
- **Provide Organizational design advice to business leaders and developmental approach for the team to meet business goals.**
- **Work with the APAC HR Director to identify key talents, develop them with developmental programs and develop succession plans in line with the needs of the business.**
- **Monitor actions through KPI’s**

**Compensation, Benefits & HRIS**
- **In charge of Payroll for Manitou Australia & MC Sydney**
- **Direct compensation system and develop recommendations to adjust grade structures and pay practices in response to changing organization needs and market competition.**
- **Analyze company compensation and benefits policies in relation to local wages regulations and market data and recommend changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates.**
- **Design direct compensation and benefit plan, develop and deliver benefit communications, analyze health care data to recommend initiatives for improvements.**
- **Serve as the chief HR administrator for the HRIS system (HR Value), ensuring security and optimal use and administration efficiency.**
- **Ensure that the welfare benefits are in line with Manitou policy and local benchmarks.**
- **Define Reward & recognition initiatives to engage employees.**

**Employee relations, administration and legal**
- **Lead employees’ relations; resolve personnel issues and disputes resolutions.**
- **Communicate Group policies, practices and procedures to employees in a manner that is clear and engaging, easy to follow.**
- **Filing of all legal compliance documents related to HR.**
- **Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.**

**Employee Engagement & change management**
- **Foster a positive work environment that encourages all employees to maximize their potential, extend beyond their comfort z
