Exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team lead join Service Stream’s Business Services team
About the Role

Service Stream’s Corporate division are currently seeking a Payroll Team Lead to join our Business Services team. Reporting directly to the Group Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing and controlling the payment of wages and salaries, associated third party payments and to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of related payroll records.

Nature of position: Permanent Full Time

Location: Collins Street, Melbourne

Reporting Line: Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor and supervise Payroll team in the delivery of Service Stream Payrolls and associated deliverables- Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment of wages, salaries, and invoices- Maintain award data and ensure wages payments comply with awards, OEA, arbitrated decisions and consent agreements- Manage the process of worker’s compensation claims- Control the reconciliation of payroll, payroll tax and superannuation payments- Calculate and complete the statutory payments for all companies including state payroll taxes, Superannuation, PAYG taxation- Assist in the analysis of payroll information for monthly and annual financial reporting- Liaise with the People & Culture to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

About You

To be successful for this role, you have:
- Prior experience in a complex corporate or shared services environment processing a high volume of 24/7, weekly, fortnightly & monthly pay runs- Knowledge of Payroll Tax requirements for all States/Territories- Experience with Chris21 is highly desired- Experience within the construction and/or call centre industries is desirable- Exposure to Workday HCM is advantageous- Experience with ‘month end’ processing and 24/7 timesheet coding is advantageous- Exceptional attention detail and numerical & analytical skills
