**A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Facilities Coordinator** **to join the team. **The Facilities Coordinator position will be based at Rydalmere, and responsible for the efficient, cost-effective and safe operation of the services and support structures at the site.

**RESPONSIBILITIES **(Key accountabilities and responsibilities)**
- Ensuring the provision of an efficient and safe working environment for the activities of the company at the site
- Managing site shared services and operations staff on a daily basis
- Managing site shared services expenditure; providing input to the site budget, controlling costs and targeting opportunities for cost savings
- Ensuring compliance to company financial standards and procedures
- Supporting compliance with company HSE standards and procedures
- Managing office churn requirements and allocation of physical resources to optimize space utilization and ensure an effective work environment
- Managing office fitouts and renovation activities
- Managing the maintenance and services of building core elements and utilities (elevators, restrooms, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical services, security systems, etc.)
- Managing site maintenance and service contracts (cleaning, gardening, air conditioning maintenance, hygiene services, etc.)
- Maintaining a current record of all facilities assets and services on Mex and providing reporting on asset and work order management
- Overseeing all external contractors on site to ensure regulatory and Thales policy compliance
- Working with the Site Manager and HSE Business Partner to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site
- Providing environmental reporting data to the HSE team.
- Functioning as the Rydalmere assistant chief fire warden
- Sitting on the Rydalmere HSE committee and attending all meetings

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Strong administration skills including the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Effective people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
- The ability to understand and follow process and to work without direct supervision
- Sound computer skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a facilities management role
- Relevant experience and demonstrated ability in effective contractor management
- Exposure to asset maintenance and life term schedules and processes
- Practical knowledge of emergency procedures in a wide range of scenarios
- Practical knowledge of current HSE practices and procedure
