Key activities may include:

- Running end to end Australian Payroll for 6 companies;
- Attending to basic changes to payroll files;
- Assist the HR manager and Finance team in the provision of payroll reports, data analysis etc. as required;
- Assisting in documentation of all key payroll related procedures with periodic reviews to ensure regulatory requirements are maintained;
- Coordinate payment of PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and workers’ compensation;
- Calculation of termination, resignation and redundancy payments; Interpreting NES, Awards and Enterprise Agreements;
- Preparing payroll payments, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, including superannuation and payroll tax;
- Preparing reports, monthly reconciliation and general ledger related activities;
- Responding to staff enquiries and resolving payroll issues in a timely manner;
- Review time and attendance data for correctness;
- Reviewing payroll policies and procedures with a view to ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and best practice, and implementing improvements are required;
- Timely reporting of payroll data to various stakeholders;
- Commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements;
- Attend to any ad-hoc payroll matters as directed by the Senior Finance Director.

Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or similar qualification is required;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Payroll Manage in a medium sized organization (multiple cycles and ABN’s desirable;
- Strong command of Meridian (MUST) and some exposure to Workday (DESIRABLE);
- Exposure and experience in timekeeping systems (desirable Mitre Finch);
- Exposure to ESS (desirable Micropay ESP);
- Proactive approach to improving payroll process and systems;
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong MS Excel skills; and Assertive & confident.
