Retail Buyer

Catch is embarking on an exciting journey of growth, as our business grows so does our team. We are currently seeking an experienced Fashion Accessories Buyer to join our Head Office.

Reporting to the Buying Manager, you'll be responsible for using a strategic, collaborative and relationship-based approach to grow and drive the success of the department.

As a Buyer, you'll play an essential role in sourcing, selecting, buying and selling. You'll execute great buying opportunities with suppliers that yield optimal commercial outcomes for the business and continue to build our brand as the number one destination. Catch Buyers don’t just innovate but disrupt traditional ways of working to deliver excitement and value to our customers, each day.

**What you will be doing**
- Develop and select an on-trend customer relevant product range in accordance within the SKU count
- Procure Merchandise in line with the available OTB
- Negotiate costs and trading terms to maximise win win outcome
- Submit and manage the promotional plan that will enhance the department sales and profitability whilst ensuring the required deadlines are met
- Conduct regular forecast reviews in conjunction with Planner
- Maximise financial outcomes for Catch through strong negotiation when dealing with suppliers

**What you need to be successful**
- Proven experience as a Buyer in either an online or traditional retail environment
- Experience across multiple sub-categories and have an established network of contacts
- In-depth knowledge of consumer preferences and behaviours in the category
- Strong commercial focus with excellent numerical ability and analytical skills
- Passion - lots of it Unwavering enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding and trust in data. Your decisions are creative and data-driven
- Collaboration. You work with your team to create awesome ideas and seek support when you need to
- Calm under pressure. You work to tight deadlines and remain calm and focused
