**The Opportunity**

Catch is currently seeking a Junior Retail Buyer. As the Junior Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for maximizing department sales and increase profitable market share through product selection and sourcing of merchandise

**What you’ll be doing**

What does a normal day in the life of a Junior Retail Buyer look like? Well, no 2 days are alike at Catch, but you could probably expect your day to include some of the following things:

- Work closely with the Senior Buyer to develop new products/ranges to satisfy customer needs - this includes ranging, core, and trending products.
- Respond to trends in line with the merchandise strategy and customer needs.
- Assist with exploring new sourcing opportunities for purchase of merchandise as they arise.
- In partnership with the Senior Buyer and Planner, manage the promotional plan that will enhance the department sales and profitability whilst ensuring the required deadlines are met.
- Maintain an honest and ethical relationship with suppliers.
- Assist with the development of strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Assist in maximizing financial outcomes for Catch when dealing with suppliers.
- Ensure supplier understanding of Catch strategy.

**The skills you'll have**
- Experience working across multiple sub-categories Experience working across multiple sub-categories.
- 1-2 years' experience as a Buying Assistant in either an online or traditional retail environment.
- Strong numerical ability and analytical skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to influence others.
- Able to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
- High attention to detail and solutions-based thinking.
- Calm under pressure and tight deadlines.
