About the role
Full time, Fixed term temporary opportunity to;
- Undertake operational planning, management and evaluation of designated services and maintenance of professional nursing within the Brisbane City Watch House (BCWH).
- Provide overall planning, coordination, formulation and direction of policies relating to the provision of state-wide forensic nursing care encompassing forensic clinical examinations for adult victims of sexual assault and primary care in watch houses.
- Lead and collaboratively provide strategic oversight and management, productivity and efficiency of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examination (SANE) Program achieving identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

About you
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 10 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Facilitate practice of self and others in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Accountable for quality assurance of services provided by forensic nurse examiners and clinical nurse consultants delivering forensic nursing care across the state.
- Provide strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement in forensic and watch house nursing care.
- Undertake operational planning, management and evaluation of designated services and maintenance of professional nursing within the Brisbane City Watch House (BCWH).
