**The Role**

The Environmental Advisor will assist with on-time delivery of Project Approvals and supporting studies, including contractor/consultant management, whilst supporting environmental compliance and reporting activities for Greenfield operations.

For this position you will report directly to Principal Approvals and you will be based at our brand new state of the art Head Office in Osborne Park. You will have the ability to be part of a broader Environmental function with lots of opportunity, giving you a diverse career pathway that will continue to expand.

**Key deliverables**:

- Ensure project deadlines are met and stakeholders are kept informed on progress
- Building relationships by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including our traditional owners
- Efficiently manage risk assessments to define, assess and manage key environmental risks
- Assist in writing regulatory environmental approvals
- Interpret legislation, government standards and agreements and provide informed commentary, improvement opportunities and areas of risk to management.

**What you’ll bring to the team**:

- High degree of familiarity with Mining Act and Environmental Protection Act
- 2-3 + years’ experience in a similar role within industry, consulting or government
- Experience in preparing Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Part IV & V approvals, and Commonwealth approvals.
- Strong computer skills, with exposure to ArcGIS or similar highly desirable
- Ability to liaise and influence at all levels of staff and management at MinRes
- Sound understanding of operational mining environments.
