**As the Manager (Human Resource) you will lead a small, supportive and dedicated HR team, ensuring outstanding delivery of HR advice and services covering establishment management, recruitment, employment conditions, performance management, and workforce planning. The HR team is a part of the Statewide Network Operations (SNO) Branch and the objective of SNO is to operate and optimise the road network to safely and efficiently move people and goods.
About you:
You have a strong leadership background in HR, a strategic mind, a proven track record of managing complex casework, and an insightful approach to human resources. To thrive in this role, you will have:
Significant experience leading and managing a HR team, demonstrative of your commitment to continuous improvement and a track record of excellence in service delivery.
A solid background in driving HR initiatives that have measurably improved the effectiveness of an organisation at the branch level.
In-depth knowledge in the HR/ER discipline, including a proven ability to handle omplex case management and navigate challenging HR scenarios with expertise.
The capacity for thought leadership, able to anticipate and identify emerging workforce trends and challenges, crafting innovative solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of the branch.
Exceptional relationship-building skills, possessing the ability to liaise and collaborate effectively with individuals across all levels, fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual respect.
Formal qualifications in human resource management would be highly regarded.
Your key responsibilities:
Provide expert human resource management and employment relations advice, delivering expert strategies and services that support our leadership team and drive operational success.
Lead and manage complex employment matters with a hands-on approach to case management, ensuring sound and pragmatic HR/ER solutions.
Elevate HR and ER capabilities within the workplace, enhancing the effectiveness of leaders and decision makers.
Manage and provide expert HR/IR advice, options and recommendations to management and staff on human resource policies and procedures and relevant legislation.
Provide strategic advice on organisational transformation and design initiatives.
Provide leadership and support to enable change management resulting from organisational realignment and development initiatives.
Prepare, present, and report on HR matters with accuracy and timeliness, including high-quality submissions, briefings, and correspondence.
