About the RoleThis ongoing part-time opportunity (0.9 FTE) offers an ideal work-life balance with a 4.5 days per week role (34.2 hours per week, Tuesdays are mandatory).
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive counselling services to children, young people, and their families on an individual and group basis.
- Collaborate with local organisations in the delivery of programmes and services.
- Conduct thorough assessments using psychometric tools to enhance understanding, assessment, and need of the child or young person.
- Liaise with parents, carers, external stakeholders, and government departments to ensure effective service delivery.
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline is required.
- Candidates must hold full membership of a relevant professional body such as the AASW or APS.
- Substantial experience in the area of child abuse and/or working with traumatised children is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
