Job Description:

Position Overview

The NSW Government is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors within our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct security duties in accordance with Security Industry Regulation 2016 and the Security Industry Act 1997.
  • Maintain the security and safety of all staff, patients, and visitors within the healthcare facility.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver security services aimed at ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and visitors as well as the protection of assets.

Selection Criteria

  • Hold a current Class 1A NSW Security Licence, current First Aid Certificate, and a current valid Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively and safely managing confrontation and aggression.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating appropriately and effectively in a wide range of complex situations.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing services with a strong responsive customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a collaborative way.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply ethical standards to decisions made on a day-to-day basis.
  • Physical capacity to perform the duties of the position, including patrolling, responding, and restraining persons.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of computer systems, access control systems, CCTV, and Fire Indication panels.
