Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to oversee the operational management of our Research Hub.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leadership teams to develop strategic plans for operational effectiveness.
  • Manage resources, recruit talent, and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
  • Oversee budgeting, finance, and intellectual property agreements.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies and reports.
  • Organize events and represent the Research Hub within our organization.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field with significant experience gained through education, training, or a combination of both.
  • Experience in fields related to connected sensor research themes.
  • Demonstrated executive support skills to senior management in complex institutions.
  • Proven project management experience on projects with substantial budgets.
  • Strong ability to manage workflow effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Superior time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, tact, and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Strong written and oral communication, negotiation, and consultation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Extensive management expertise and supporting experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and significant experience in research environments.
