About Family Support Liaison role:

About the opportunity:

As our Family Support Liaison, you'll connect with families, children, and young people in ways that truly matter. Working in the community, you'll assess family needs, build trust, and provide tailored support that helps prevent the escalation of challenges.

Your work will involve:

  • Conducting family-focused assessments using creative and flexible engagement methods.
  • Building partnerships with local stakeholders and service providers to ensure accessible support for families.
  • Ongoing timely and responsive services that prioritize child safety, family wellbeing, and connection.
  • Closely collaborating with families and encouraging them to have a voice in shaping their futures.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in social sciences or related fields.
  • Experienced in conducting comprehensive needs assessments and safety planning.
  • Experience working with families and children.
  • Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and CALD families and engage with community stakeholders effectively.
  • Current NSW Driver's license and current NSW WWCC
