Perioperative Instrument Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Instrument Technician to join our dynamic team.

As a Perioperative Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of instrument care and maintenance. This includes thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatres and other clinical areas.

  • Comply with AS/NZ standards
  • Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
  • Report and document all quality activities
  • Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

  • Providing high-quality instrument care and maintenance services to support our perioperative services
  • Ensuring that all instruments are properly cleaned, sterilised and stored to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Maintaining accurate records of instrument usage and maintenance
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies

  • Cert 4 in Sterilisation Services or working towards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZ
  • Experience with tracking systems
  • Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases An interest in promoting best practice patient care
  • A focus on professional development
