Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Job Overview

We are seeking experienced electrical and instrumentation technicians to fill a key role in our operations and maintenance team at the Darwin RAAF Base.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the defence environment, supporting national security requirements of the nation. As a critical player in the defence industry, you will play a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide.

The Role
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of fuel installation assets and equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel-related assets and equipment.
  • Participate in project work as required on fuel installations and related assets and equipment.
  • Support subcontracted work packages as needed.
  • Provide support to various sites in the NT region, with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout the NT.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Cert IV Instrumentation and A-grade electrical license with relevant post-trade experience.
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.
  • Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) trained required.
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets highly regarded.
  • Strong emphasis on safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Hold, or ability to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
