Job Title: Operating Room Instrumentation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Operating Room Instrumentation Specialist.

Job Description

This is a key role in the Perioperative Service Department, responsible for providing high-quality service to theatres and other clinical areas. As an Operating Room Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that all instrumentation is properly maintained, cleaned, and sterilized.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, package, and sterilize all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
  • Comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Operate, interpret, and document machinery operational requirements
  • Report and document quality activities
  • Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Cert 4 in Sterilisation Services or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
  • Sound knowledge of relevant standards
  • Experience with tracking systems
  • Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
