About This OpportunityThis position involves the adjustment, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and prolong its lifespan. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work methodically under pressure, and maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to guarantee optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conducts thorough inspections, performs preventive maintenance on all systems, and updates log books accordingly.
- Identifies areas for improvement, conducts walk-through assessments, changes belts and filters, adjusts volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, and diagnoses issues to locate their causes.
- Collaborates with colleagues to estimate necessary parts, supplies, equipment, and labor hours for assigned repairs and tracks computer malfunctions.
- High School diploma or technical certificate required along with a minimum of three years' experience working with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- Must also hold a Florida state EPA HVAC License and demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude.
- Capable of interpreting schematics, plans, diagrams, and drawings effectively.
