Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Specialist Position

This is an HVAC engineer position at a prominent casino resort, the flagship of Hard Rock International. The selected candidate will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

  • The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or technical certificate with 3+ years experience in commercial industrial equipment or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • A Florida state EPA HVAC License and basic mechanical aptitude are also necessary.
  • The ability to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Adjusting, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • Performing all preventive maintenance on systems and maintaining applicable log books.
  • Conducting walk-through inspections; changing belts, filters, adjusting volume dampers, checking gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeding gas lines, resetting compressors, checking unit sensors, relocating ductwork and troubleshooting to locate sources and cause of malfunction.
  • Maintaining quality of air, airflow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusting valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
