Job Title: Project Support Officer

About the Role

The role of a Project Support Officer is to provide high-quality project and administration support to the team, enabling them to operate effectively and achieve success in their delivery outcomes.

This involves a range of support activities, including auditing, financial review, reporting, and records management, as well as key stakeholder liaison.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the Bus Infrastructure Maintenance team by auditing works completed by contractors, checking work orders, reviewing quotes, and reconciling invoices.

They will also assist the Bus Infrastructure Maintenance team with day-to-day work, undertaking financial and procurement processes in a timely and accurate manner.

Liaising with DoT staff, contractors, external stakeholders, and public transport operators on infrastructure, signage, and customer information relating to maintenance, bus stop upgrades, and issues is also an essential aspect of this role.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality support to the Bus Infrastructure Maintenance team by auditing works completed by contractors, checking work orders, reviewing quotes, and reconciling invoices.
  2. Assist the Bus Infrastructure Maintenance team with day-to-day work, undertaking financial and procurement processes in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Liaise with DoT staff, contractors, external stakeholders, and public transport operators on infrastructure, signage, and customer information relating to maintenance, bus stop upgrades, and issues.
  4. Undertake high-quality project record management and processes for the team to be maintained in line with DoT records management frameworks and guidelines.
  5. Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including effective coordination of incoming and outgoing communications, information, and enquiries.
Qualifications and Experience

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, or a similar field.
  • Experience in maintaining public transport infrastructure, signage, and customer information.
  • Experience providing administrative support services.
