About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead our data center projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely delivery, and managing budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management and oversight of construction activities
  • Driving costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality
  • Providing construction management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing data center resilience
  • Reviewing constructability of building designs associated with data center construction
  • Creating project scope and equipment requirements, assisting with request for proposals, and capital requests
  • Total project quality, including commissioning and integrated system testing, and oversight of execution
  • Issuing and managing Request for Information during construction, coordinating construction administration with engineers
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management
  • Leading within the group as well as internal and external teams supporting data centers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of work experience in design and construction management
  • Experience in infrastructure or public domain works
  • Knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations, including Fire Codes, Building Codes, Energy Efficiency Codes, Sanitary Codes, and Safety Codes
  • Experience in industrial development or infrastructure projects
  • Previous vendor and contractor/subcontractor negotiation and management skills associated with construction and project execution
  • Experience in the overall life cycle of a large-scale construction project
  • Previous experience delivering works in conjunction with Victorian Authorities (GWW, Powercor, Council etc)
  • Previous experience with completion and handover requirements with Victorian Authorities (GWW, Powercor, Council etc)
