Administration and Logistics Coordinator

Join Platinum Blasting Services as we continue to grow and become one of the leading blasting providers in the Australian mining industry.

We are seeking a self-motivated administration professional to assist with the day-to-day running between our plant and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to the assigned site, including document preparation, filing, scanning, maintaining spreadsheets, data entry, and arranging general office supplies.
  • Accurately record operational quantities for assigned sites.
  • Coordinate and administer village accommodation bookings for assigned sites.
  • Assist with new employees commencing on assigned sites.
  • Collate employee timesheets, assist with employee leave, and liaise with payroll for assigned sites.
  • Assist in the reload facility yard as required and where competent to do so, including bulk delivery escorts.
  • Obtain quotes and order consumables for assigned sites as required, including PPE.
  • Arrange delivery dockets, provider orders, and stock takes for assigned sites.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as contained in the BMS.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders to develop a suite of logistics coordination company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with any prevailing mine site rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Client.

Requirements:

  • Prior site-based administrative and logistics coordination experience, preferably in mining, transport, heavy industry, or a related field.
  • Diploma in business, administration, or a similar field (or currently studying) preferred.
  • A high standard of initiative, reliability, attention to detail, and ownership of work area.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in time management and coordinating work with several stakeholders.
  • High level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with an ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively liaise and build working relationships with personnel at all levels.
  • Queensland explosives security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
