About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Department of Education, managing the roll out of school maintenance plans and analyzing information to develop strategies for improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process and school maintenance plans to develop long-term strategies for investment in maintenance
  • Developing training manuals and guides to facilitate the roll out of school maintenance plans
  • Providing ongoing support for the roll out of school maintenance plans
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating maintenance programs to identify and drive improvements
Key Responsibilities:

The Principal Infrastructure Services Officer - Maintenance and Improvement will be accountable for and lead duties associated with the role, including:

  • Developing and sustaining productive working relationships with key stakeholder groups, including regional infrastructure teams, schools, and QBuild
  • Providing strategic advice to key internal stakeholders on the Division's maintenance programs and processes
  • Preparing Ministerial, Parliamentary, and corporate correspondence and reporting on the progress of maintenance programs
  • Providing advice and guidance to other staff and supporting the work of team members by providing mentoring and training opportunities
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Capability to support the delivery of key initiatives, including Asset Life Cycle Assessments, School Maintenance Plans, and Allocation of Maintenance Funds
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop strategies for improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
