Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Civil Infrastructure Inspector. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for inspecting roadworks projects to ensure they meet Transport and Main Roads' quality specifications and standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive practical experience in road construction, preferably with DTMR or another Australian Road Authority. You will be required to work independently, using your comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards, and specifications to prepare written documents, communicate with contractors, and administer documentation generated during construction.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect roadworks projects to ensure compliance with TMR's quality specifications and standards.
- Prepare written documents, including daily diaries, submissions/reports, and test results.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, contract administrators, senior engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Administer documentation generated during construction, including photos and records.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5-10 years' extensive practical experience in road construction, preferably with DTMR or another Australian Road Authority.
- At least 1-2 years' experience as an Asphalt or Civil Inspector.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management, and email.
- A valid driver's licence and access to own transport to/from home to the Toowoomba office and out to site.
- Possession of a laptop and mobile phone is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary package, including:
- An estimated annual salary of AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 depending on experience.
- A comfortable accommodation option for those willing to relocate to Toowoomba or SEQLD.
