Security and Fire Manager

As a key member of the resort team, you will be responsible for ensuring the fire, medical, and security requirements of guests and staff are maintained.
Your primary duties include:
- Supporting the Director Safety & Security with team development and day-to-day managerial responsibilities.
- In the absence of the Director Safety & Security, assuming the role and responsibilities for that position.
- Maintaining fire safety compliance, staff training, and development, completing audits and risk assessments, investigations, assisting with departmental timecard management, and working towards operational improvements.
- Providing excellent service to guests and staff in accordance with the resort's high standards.
- Welcome and conduct new team member orientation.
- Participating in training programs, particularly Emergency Response Team and Fire Fighting training as required.
- Interacting with department and resort staff in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way communication.
You will also be responsible for guiding and supporting emergency response team members in emergency situations, providing records/reports pertaining to duties as required, reporting hazards and risks to the Workplace Health, Safety & Environment Officer, and logging security incidents and accidents according to resort requirements.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to: managing first aid supplies, responding to emergencies, collaborating with other departments, facilitating training sessions, maintaining accurate records, reviewing and updating procedures.
Requirements include but not limited to senior first aid and CPR certificates, Certificate III - Security Operations (highly desirable), Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate - QLD current, awareness of Work Health and Safety Laws, legislation, policies, and procedures.
