**The Role**
The Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC) is currently developing exciting solutions for sharing critical knowledge and insights within Defence. As Technical Officer - Systems, you will work with the Systems Team to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate the success of these solutions. This includes assisting with the day-to-day administration and improvement of the ICT environment to ensure peak performance and maximum uptime.

The Technical Officer - Systems' duties include:

- Systems access and permissions;
- First level support in resolving equipment, networking and software issues;
- Basic server administration;
- Following ICT security, disaster recovery and business continuity policies and procedures.

**About our Team**
The Maritime Warfare Centre is custodian for the Royal Australian Navy’s data on weapon firings, underwater signature measurement and expert analytic products essential to decision makers and the warfighting community. The Centre's Systems Team provides critical infrastructure, information management services and systems support, enabling the provision of the Centre's information product. The Systems Team provides a working environment that offers challenging work, flexibility to be innovative, talented colleagues, and the guidance and support that that you need to succeed.
- Experience providing user support comprising well-developed ICT trouble shooting skills with the ability to develop and articulate appropriate remediation actions;
- Experience installing/configuring/removing hardware and software in a Windows-based environment; and
- Knowledge of basic TCP/IP networking.
