Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing materials and components, negotiating best pricing and trading terms with suppliers, and ensuring preferred vendors are used and processes are adhered to.

This role involves:

  • Sourcing high-quality materials and components
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiating favorable contracts and agreements
  • Ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and policies
  • Analyzing market trends and proposing strategies to improve processes and supply chain as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with production manager to ensure stock and materials for production
  • Monitor ERP system to assist with meeting production schedules
  • Manage purchasing administration

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar purchasing role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience as an analytical thinker and problem-solver
  • Demonstrated experience in developing client relationships – internal and external
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Epicor but not essential)
