
Digital Commerce Lead

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Professional to join our fast-paced and collaborative Online Team.
- This is a flexible hybrid role, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home or office location
The successful candidate will lead the short and mid-term strategy and operations of the Ecommerce channel, driving sales growth and profitability while ensuring the successful delivery of customer-centric initiatives. With a strong focus on performance and seamless execution, this role plays a critical part in enhancing the online customer experience and aligning digital operations with broader commercial objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage comprehensive Ecommerce strategies across various categories, leading cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Manage medium to large scale projects aimed at improving the Ecommerce offering, ensuring financial targets for the Ecommerce business are met and exceeded. Provide insights into customer behavior and market trends to inform strategic decisions. Effectively manage both local and offshore teams to ensure seamless operations and the achievement of outcomes.
- Drive category-specific sales and gross profit dollar strategies
- Implement process and governance improvements across Ecommerce end-to-end
- Assist in the ideation and implementation of operational initiatives with the ability to make decisions and provide expertise
- Lead the development and implementation of new Ecommerce functionalities
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project impact and identify improvements
Previous experience in Ecommerce or Merchandise role essential, preferably within the retail sector. Sound business acumen with strong analytical and planning capabilities. Prior experience in managing direct reports and driving a culture of high performance. A natural collaborator with the ability to influence stakeholders to drive category growth. Uses retail management expertise to operate and organise the website to deliver wonderful customer experiences. Strong experience with website analytics, ideally Google Analytics. Previous experience in commerce platforms, PIMs or search and merchandising tools including experience in platform utilisation.
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite – particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Able to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to non-technical stakeholders
