Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our Air Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead by example, ensuring effective knowledge sharing amongst team members and delegating tasks accordingly.
  • Supervise performance of team/individuals, manage the retrieval and processing of air documentation and freight efficiently.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal/external clients/stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor electronic customs reports, advise overseas agents when necessary, and rectify issues in weekly compliance reports.
  • Train staff on company liability & obligation to AU Customs, guide AI team to deal with possible issues.
  • Provide competitive rate quotes to overseas offices to assist in winning ad hoc shipments.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Influencing, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to motivate team members and help them develop confidence.
  • Analytical, target, and result-focused individual with business acumen and cost consciousness.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience in Freight Forwarding or a similar role.
  • Customer relationship management experience and a valid driver's license.
  • Certifications like SMART, ProCars, Expedient, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
