Air Freight Operations Specialist Job

As a skilled Air Freight Operations Specialist / Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of air freight shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers to provide high-quality service.
  • Interact with customers upon delivery or pick-up to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop creative solutions for highly regulated shipments by air and road.
  • Book export airline shipments and track their progress.
  • Verify Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and handle Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments, including repacking and documentation.
  • Assist with processing, repacking, and preparing shipments.
  • Load and unload delivery goods.
  • Maintain accurate driving records and vehicle maintenance.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure the timely pickup and collection of freight.
  • Consolidate information and liaise with our Broker for prompt release of inbound international cargo.
  • Perform collections and deliveries within Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Requirements:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience as an Air Freight Operations Specialist / Driver.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using logistics systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and provide alternative solutions to clients and peers.
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) accreditation is a plus, though training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of airfreight operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A committed, reliable, and proactive attitude.
