Avanti Freight Management is an Australian, Family-owned business that was established to meet the needs of both local importers and exporters.

As a local business we partner with local businesses to deliver excellent service.

We are looking for a Freight Forwarding Operator with experience in both air & sea freight to join our organisation.

This position is perfect for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our already successful and growing team. You must have excellent communication & customer service skills and an ability to identify and rectify problems before they occur to ensure the best level of service possible for your clients.

Ideally you will have at least 3 years of relevant local industry experience in a similar role and have a high level of commitment to building a career within the Forwarding Industry.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Registration of sea and air freight jobs
- Liaising with shipping and air lines, forwarders and clients regarding shipment details
- Liaising with Custom Brokers regarding clearance and status
- Track and trace
- Interaction with overseas agents
- Arranging and co-ordinating Transport
- Creating invoices
- Providing customer service to both internal and external customers

To be considered for the role, you will possess the following skills and requirements:

- Minimum 3 years previous Freight Forwarding experience in similar role
- CargoWise experience is preferential but not essential
- Good computer skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Gmail experience beneficial)
- Clear communication both verbal and written
- Good time management, reliability, organisational skills and attention to detail a must

This is a full-time permanent position. Hours of work are 8:30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Salary will be commensurate with relevant industry experience.
