Innovative Engineering Leadership Position

As a seasoned software engineering professional, you have the unique opportunity to lead a dynamic and innovative team within a modern payments platform. This exciting role involves driving technical vision and roadmap for your team's services, providing strong technical leadership while remaining hands-on with code.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a cross-functional Scrum team of engineers, supporting their professional development.
- Implementing advanced architectural patterns like event sourcing, CQRS, and distributed tracing to build resilient, performant systems.
- Partnering with Product teams and stakeholders to define and deliver roadmaps that delight customers, enable business growth, and ensure technical excellence.
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery capabilities, technical processes, and operational assets.
This role requires exceptional technical leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management, and people leadership skills. A proven success record managing engineering teams is essential. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, cloud platforms, and DevOps approaches including test and deployment automation.
A successful candidate will bring a track record of building positive team cultures that emphasize collaboration, growth, and excellence. Experience with financial or payment systems is preferred. Knowledge of modern microservice architectures and distributed systems is also a plus.
Requirements include 10+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams. A strong technical leadership background with demonstrable achievements in architecture, solution design, development, and scaled cloud delivery is necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
